The 40th Anniversary Celebrations was held between Sunday October 7 and Saturday October 13. The celebration activities went well for the most parts despite the threat of Hurricane Iris on the day of the Church Service.
For More Details Click Here.One Highlight of the anniversary celebrations was the visit to the school of its first principal, Mr. Edmund G. Roper. Two scholarships were awarded to present students Aneaka Wright and Joseph Brown in Mr. Roper's name by Friends of STETHS International Inc.

The Christmas term is well underway. The school population is getting closer and closer to the 1600 mark!

The Dacosta Cup Team failed to qualify for the second round of the competition after losing 1-0 to Lacovia in its final game of the round. For more details
CLICK HERE.CXC / O'level results indicated an overall improvement over previous years. However subjects such as Mathematics and the Sciences (except Integrated Science and Agriculture Science) continue to show that greater efforts are required. Home Economics, Business, Information Technology and the Industrial Arts continue to do well.
The school cricket team returned from its trip to Orlando on Sunday September 16. The fourteen players along with coach Junior Bennett and manager Dr. Donovan Bennett were due to return on September 12, but due to the World Trade Center bombing were held up in Orlando for the extra four days. However most of the players were happy for the extra time abroad, as they were well treated by their hosts. The treatment of the players and management team was highly appreciated and showed how much STETHS continue to mean to our alumni. Nuff respect to you guys (especially "Chubby" Levy and "Pumpkin" Kennedy), keep up the good work!
The Sixth Form programme has seen a dramatic increase in the number enrolled.
Headley Cup Captain, Brenton Parchment who was the successful captain of the West Indies U19 team which recently defeated their England counter parts, was controversially left out of the senior Jamaica team for the regional one day tournament. Brenton was by far the most successful batsman during the six "Trial" matches, scoring four half-centuries. His omission has been causing much discussion in the media.
